Storage terms

These terms apply to piano storage booked through pianostorage.co.uk, operated by PianoSpeed London Limited, part of the Pianospeed Group. By booking you agree to them. Last updated June 2026.

1. What we provide

We collect your piano from the address you give us, hold it in our climate-controlled, monitored storage facility, and re-deliver it to you when you ask us to. Storage covers acoustic and digital pianos and related music equipment described at booking.

2. Pricing and recurring billing

At booking you pay a one-off collection fee plus your first four weeks of storage. After that, the four-weekly storage charge is taken automatically from your card on a rolling basis. There is no fixed term. The rates that apply to your booking are the ones shown in the booking flow at the time you book, and they are confirmed in your confirmation email.

3. Collection and access

We confirm a three-hour target window the day before collection. You agree to provide safe, clear and lawful access to the piano, accurate information about the floor, access and any difficult route, and the legal right to move and store the instrument. If access differs materially from what you told us and this affects the work, we may need to adjust the charge or rearrange.

4. Your right to cancel

You may cancel a booking before collection for a full refund of amounts paid. After collection, you can end your storage at any time with no penalty by booking a re-delivery or telling us in writing. The four-weekly storage charge stops at the end of the paid period in which the piano leaves our care. We do not pro-rata part-periods unless we agree otherwise.

5. Insurance and care

Your piano is insured while in our care, from collection through storage to re-delivery. Our facility is monitored around the clock and managed to keep temperature and humidity steady. Pianos are natural products and normal tuning drift after a move or a period in storage is expected and is not a defect. We recommend tuning a little while after re-delivery, once the instrument has settled.

6. Unpaid storage

If a recurring storage payment fails, we will contact you to update your card. We will not release a piano while storage charges are outstanding, and persistent non-payment may, after notice and in line with your legal rights, allow us to recover sums owed. We will always try to reach you first.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the insured value of the instrument.
