Much of Cambridge is old, college-owned or tucked along narrow lanes, so access takes a careful hand. Our specialist piano crews are used to tight college staircases and period homes, and they wrap and remove the instrument cleanly.
Collection day
We collect across the CB postcodes on Tuesdays. Holding one set day keeps the route efficient and the price fair, and we confirm a three-hour target window the day before. If a Tuesday genuinely will not work, an off-day collection can be arranged for an added charge.
If the piano is up a college staircase or a steep flight at home, that stair access is priced clearly in the online booking, so the figure is settled before collection day.
Why specialist storage
Cambridge buildings are often centuries old, with solid walls, single glazing and heating that goes off out of term. The Fens are damp, too. A piano left through a long vacation in those conditions can crack, seize and slide out of tune.
Our facility holds steady temperature and humidity throughout the year, with full insurance and round-the-clock monitored security, so a term away, a sabbatical or a long renovation leaves the instrument unharmed.
