Piano storage
Move pianos out for the summer, a refurbishment or between terms, with scheduling and accountability a department can rely on.
Book storageEmpty buildings, valuable pianos
Schools, universities, music colleges, churches and venues all hit the same problem. The building empties over the holidays, a hall is being refurbished, a practice room is changing use, or the heating goes off for six weeks. The pianos are some of the most valuable and most awkward items on the premises, and leaving them in a cold, empty building or shuffling them into a corridor is not a real plan.
We collect institutional pianos and hold them in clean, dry, climate-controlled storage until you need them back. Whether it is one concert grand or a roomful of upright practice pianos, they come out of the building for the gap and return when term, the event or the works are done.

Accountability matters
A department, a bursar and an insurer all need to know where an asset is and who has it. Every piano we hold is logged against your booking from the day it arrives, fully insured throughout, and stored in a facility that is monitored around the clock. There is a clear record of what came in, where it is and when it is due back.
Specialist piano crews handle the collection and re-delivery, so a caretaker or a music teacher is not expected to wrestle a grand down a corridor. If you are storing several instruments, each is tracked individually, which makes handover, audit and insurance straightforward.
Scheduling that fits a term
Institutions live by dates. Term ends, the refurbishment has a handover, the summer programme finishes. We run one set collection day for each postcode area, so once you have your dates we can line the collection up for the start of the break and the return for just before you reopen.
We confirm a 3-hour target window the day before at both ends, which lets you put a member of staff there to give access without holding the day. If a hall is being worked on, the piano can go out before the trades arrive and come back to a finished, settled room.
Sensible terms for budgets
Institutional plans shift, so the storage flexes with them. There is no fixed term and clear weekly pricing, billed every four weeks, with the collection and the first stretch paid at booking. If a refurbishment overruns into the next term, the pianos simply stay safe and you pay only for the weeks used.
If access at either end involves stairs, in an old hall or an upper-floor practice room, those are priced clearly in the booking up front, so there are no surprises for the finance office. As part of the Pianospeed Group, the same team can handle storage for one piano or a whole department.
Simple, transparent pricing
Prices include collection, climate-controlled storage and full insurance. Stairs without a lift and off-day collections are priced transparently in the booking. Re-delivery is quoted when you are ready for the piano back.

No. Specialist piano crews handle the collection and re-delivery, so a caretaker or music teacher is never expected to move a grand. You only need someone on site to give access during the 3-hour window we confirm the day before.
That is no problem. There is no fixed term, so the pianos stay safe and you pay only for the weeks used. When the works are genuinely finished and the room is settled, one message books the return to a finished space.
