Why not self-store
Self-store units are built for furniture and boxes, not instruments. They are not heated or humidity-controlled, so they get cold and damp in winter and stuffy in summer. A piano left in one comes back out of tune at best, and cracked or rusted at worst.
Our storage is climate-controlled and monitored, holding temperature and humidity steady all year. The piano is fully insured the whole time, so you can stop worrying about it and deal with the move.
Collection day
We collect across the RG postcodes on Saturdays. Holding one set day keeps the route efficient and the price down, and a weekend slot is easier for most households than a weekday. We confirm a three-hour target window the day before. An off-day collection can be arranged for an added charge if a Saturday will not work.
Stairs, steps and first-floor pianos are all part of normal collection. Any stair or difficult access is priced clearly in the online booking before you confirm.
Pricing for Reading
Prices include collection, climate-controlled storage and full insurance. Stairs without a lift and off-day collections are priced transparently in the booking. Re-delivery is quoted when you are ready for the piano back.
